Things I've Been Doing In School

Wednesday, September 9, 2009, me and my classmates from history class went on a field trip to the Rocklin history museum. We went into a museum and a man guided us through it. We saw a lot of old fashion things. After that, we went and saw the grinding rocks, and a spring. After that, me and dad went and got a soft-serve.

Yesterday, I had my first sewing class. My teacher was really nice. There were a couple other kids in the class, too. It was really easy and fun. It was fast, too. Next week, we're going to make pajama pants. I HAD A GOOD TIME!

I am learning mandolin right now. My dad is teaching me. We both have our own so we can play together. Dad surprised me when he brought me home the mandolin. I enjoy music very much. I can also play kazoo, piano, keyboard, and violin a little. I also enjoy singing.

Making Stuffed Cabbage

Yesterday, Felecia, my mom, and I made stuffed cabbage. It was my first time I've ever made it. We mixed hamburger, eggs, rice, onions, and seasonings together in a large bowl. Then we boiled the cabbage leaves to make them soft. Mom added vinegar to the boiling water. Next we rolled the hamburger mixture into the cabbage leaves. We put all the cabbage rolls in a big pot and poured the boiling water over it and cooked them. After that we took them out of the water and my mom fried them. I made corn bread muffins. Felecia helped a little bit but I mostly did it myself. I really enjoyed cooking.
Felecia said it smelled like St. Patricks Day because we eat these then. We shared our dinner with Aunt Sherry and Amber. We sent some home for Chris and the Wilborns.
