My Senior Year!

So, I just started my senior year at the end of August and it's going really well. I got a few new friends. I got a new one at lunch time named Emily and then some in PE. Their names are Ben, Haley, and Jason.
I'm also taking choir this year and it's a lot of fun. We have been doing voice exercises and we are soon going to do a song. This is my first elective too. So I'm excited I'm finally taking one:)
I also have three new teachers including my choir teacher. They've been really good.
We are doing volleyball in PE right now too. Right now we are just getting in little groups and working on surfing. We are doing it in the gym.
So far I'm doing great in school and I believe I'm going to have an awesome year:)

What I've Been Up To

So I am finally back on my blog. It has been such a long time since last time I blogged.
The Thursday right before Easter all the high school kids and young adults from church we all went on a cabin trip.
On Friday Brother Danny took some of us mettle detecting. It was a lot of fun. I got a wrench and a square nail that were really old. I brought them home and kept them.
Brother Chad also took us gold panning. First, you take your pan and put a scoop of dirt in it. Next, you put a little bit of water in it from the lake, then you take all the rocks out of the pan and swirl it around, finally you dump all the water out. I never found any gold, but it was still pretty cool.
We also played electricity It was my first time playing it. It was awesome.
On Easter Sunday we went to church then we went to Amber's house. Amber my cousin had invited us to her Easter brunch. So we just ate together and hung out.
On the 4th Sherry, my mom and I went up to Jenkinson Lake for the day. We brought a lunch with us and swam all day.
This last Sunday we went up to Jenkinson Lake again. This time we stayed the night. Felecia went with us too.We had kind of a crazy night but other than that we had a lot of fun.

My Summer Vacation

This summer my mom and I took a trip to Bodega Bay. We went with friends from church and we camped for three nights. We played volley ball on the beach. We also did a sandcastle contest and some skits. My girls group (Eva, Grace, Alexis, and I) sang, "I'll Fly Away", and  Brother Luis sang with us. We also did a potluck which included some delicious Cuban food.

I am back to school now and I'm in 11th grade. :) My favorite subject is math. I am also doing English,  Social Studies, and Life Skills. I am a TA (teacher's assistant) in Functional Science. I also have some new friends. Their names are Ashley (there are two) and Maddie.

I am excited for fall! Some of my favorite things to do during fall include going to Apple Hill and looking through the old shops, and raking leaves with Dad. My birthday is coming up too in October as well as Thanksgiving which means yummy food like turkey, mashed potatoes, and pumpkin pie! :)

Hope everyone had a good summer vacation and HAPPY FALL!

A Day at the Zoo

Yesterday, Mom and I went with Kathy, Franklin, Amber, and Emerson to the zoo. We saw giraffes, flamingos, tigers, parrots, monkeys swinging on ropes, zebras, kangaroos, and an ant eater,  We went into the reptile house also and saw snakes, lizards, and crocodiles.
Me, Amber, and Emerson rode on the merry-go-round. We also took a ride on the train with Kathy, Mom, and Franklin.

Bulls Eye!

On Wednesday, Dad and I shot the bow and arrow in the backyard. It took a while for me to get the arrow in the target. We were about to go back to the house when we decided that we would do one more try and I hit the bulls eye.

My Awesome Vacation

Thursday I went with the young people to a cabin trip.
Friday Aunt Sherry did a nature scavenger hunt. It was a lot of fun. There were a lot stuff on the list. I had never been on a scavenger hunt before so I was really interested in it. I also helped with breakfast that morning for the first time.
Later I played volley ball . Then we did a game where we had to tie bricks to our shoes and walk across the lawn a certain amount of space and back to our place. That was a lot of fun too.
That night we did skits. I acted out in one. We did Little Red Riding Hood. I was the mom, Katey was Little Red Riding Hood, Brother Leonard was the wolf, and Brother Ross was Granny. It was a lot of fun.
Some other people did Peter Pan. Peter acted out Peter Pan and Alexis did Tinker Bell. Sherry was a crocodile.
Saturday we did our round of scriptures and testimonies.
On the way home from the cabin that day we stopped by Fosters Freeze and got ice cream. Then I took a good nap on the way to church.
Me and my girls group also sang two songs at the cabin. We Sang Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus and we also sang Awesome God. Then yesterday Brother Ross had the whole cabin crew sing Awesome God last night and had our group sing our solos.
I've had a good vacation.

My Awesome Vacation

I have been having an awesome time off of school!
Saturday, I practiced a few songs on the piano. I played Walk In The Woods, a song Shane made up when he was little which is what we call, "Shane's Song." I also played, Softly And Tenderly.
Sunday afternoon Eva and Grace came over. We went with my mom to the store. Then at home we ate lunch. We had taco salad. Then we did some exercise and polished our nails.
On Monday me, Eva, Grace, Felecia, Katey, Alexis, and Carol went to the mall together. We went to Payless and I got a new pair of tennis shoes for PE. I also got a new shirt. We also went to Starbucks on the way there.
After we shopped we went out to eat for lunch. Then we went to the mall again. LOL! Then we went out to eat at Red Robin.
Last night Me and Felecia went to McDonald's to eat. While we were there Shane came in and ate with us. He said that he saw that we were there so he thought he'd come in and eat with us. It was so fun. We just chatted as we ate. It was like a sibling night out. LOL! I have had a great vacation.

My Christmas Break

On Christmas Eve me and my family went to Sherry's house. She just moved so we got to see her new place. Sister Kathy and the G- family came too. We had dinner together and played the white elephant game. For dinner we had Enchiladas and salad.
On Christmas morning we went to church and then we came home and when Dad came home from work we opened our presents. For Christmas I got a water bottle, notepad and a couple folders for school. I also got a hoody and some fuzzy socks. Mom and Dad got me Jenga. That and the water bottle were my most favorite gifts.
Saturday, the W- family came over for dinner. I had a fun and busy time entertaining Micah and Ian. I read books to them and played with them. Yesterday, I was talking to Dad about it and he said that it looked like I was having a blast. I was. And I definitely had my hands full having two little kids to entertain. LOL! But I had a lot of fun.

My 16th Birthday Party

Monday was my 16th birthday. When I was at school that day I went into the locker room to get ready for PE, and a couple of girls yelled Happy Birthday. My friend Meghan gave me a batch of cookies and a big boquet of balloons. It was so sweet. I had actually forgotten that I even told her when my birthday was. Because of the big boquet of balloons being very obvious, everyone was telling me happy birthday. My PE teacher said that when he saw me coming into the gym with the big boquet of balloons, he figured it was my birthday, so he told me happy birthday. My math teacher did too. He knew by a card with my info on it.
That evening after I got home from school I had a birthday party. Everyone who came were the
G- family, the D- family, Sherry, Amber, Franklin, Emerson, Sister Joyce, Sierra, and the W- family.
For my birthday I got a tray that you can use to do your homework on from my parrents, it's also used to eat off of. I also got a card, markers and a color pad from Sierra, a card and a hand made pouch from the G- family, a card and devotional journal from Sherry, a card and a purse from the D- family, a starbucks card, pen, bookmark, and a Hershey's milk chocolate candy bar from the W- family. I think my two favorite gifts were the bookmark and the devotional journal.
For dinner we had potatoe soup and garlic bread. For dessert we had Shane's homemade oreo ice cream cake. I had a good time.

Fall is coming up very soon and I'm looking forward to it. I like to decorate the house and have fires in the fireplace. One of my favorite things about fall is raking the leaves with Shane. I also like Thanksgiving, spending time with friends and family. My birthday is in that season too. I also like going to Apple Hill and browsing through all the festive shops. Some other little things I love about fall are rainy days, drinking hot cocoa, eating apple crisp and lots more. Four more days!!! Happy fall everybody!

Going To Public High School

Wednesday the 17th I started public high school. I am going to Rocklin High. This is my first time going to public school. I really like it. My subjects are math, PE, Life skills, and others. (I don't remember all of them) I have like 4 classes a day. I have 8 all together.
I have already made friends. The girls are Taylor, Na, Clarissa, Breezy, Ann Alysa, Samantha, and another girl. (I don't remember her name) The boys' names are Martin, (pronounced like Spanish) and Johnny. Martin, Johnny, and Clarissa all ride the same bus as me. Martin and I all way's talk on the way to school.
So far in PE we've only done push ups and crunches, walked laps outside, and something else. Those were for warm ups. We are starting real PE this week.
We also talk to each other in school about what we did over the weekend or what we are going to do. We write about it in our notebooks also.
Usually I spend my free time reading or playing a game with friends. Ann Alysa and I talk a lot together. She knows the area really well too. I really like school a lot.

Going To Six Flags

Wednesday I went to Six Flags with my Bible Story Time class. James and Joy went with us too because they were going to have another set of adults go. Everyone in from my class that went were Kolten, Katey, Craig, Mike, Alicia and a friend of her's, and Connor. And I think that was it.
Joy and Sister Becky both had walky talkies with them in the car. On the way up Brother Ross got on it and said in a deep voice,"Hey can I take your order?" And Joy gets on and go's,"HUH?" LOL! It was so funny. Brother Ross started cracking up. We also sang "I've Got The Joy Joy Joy Joy Down In My Heart" to them.
The very first ride I rode on was madusa. Brother Ross put his arms up in the air and yelled, "Everybody put your hands up" across the whole roller coaster. I put my hands up in the air. I would put them down like every three seconds 'cause I'd be afraid my hands would hit the roller coaster. James told me that I'm brave putting my arms up in the air.
Sister Becky and I rode one together. It was one of those rides that spin as you ride. Sister Becky fell against me right after it started. We laughed the whole time. It was pretty histerrical.
Brother Ross and I rode the log ride and I got so wet. When James saw me he said,"Man Priscilla you sure got wet."
We also looked at a sting-ray and watched the dolphin show too. The dolphin show was really cute.
We also rode a swing that span around in a circle.
Before we left Brother Ross that we could ride on one more ride and we all yelled, "MADUSA!" At least I did. So we rode madusa. We had a lot of fun.

Visiting Lincoln High School

Today I made tuna fish sandwiches for lunch. I made one for me and my dad. We had potato chips with it. Tuna is my dad's favorite kind of sandwich.
I also went down to Lincoln High School with my mom and dad to check it out to see if it would be a good school for me next year. I liked the teacher but I wasn't sure about the school. Seeing all the kids seemed like it wasn't really something good for me because they kind of seemed like they were a higher level than what I need. What I think I need is a school that is more schooling in life skills. My mom and dad and the lady we met with, all thought the same thing. Next we will visit Rocklin High School. They have a life skills class.

Making a Volcano

Today for Science, Stephanie and I made a volcano. We took some clay and shaped it into a volcano. Then inside we put two teaspoons of baking soda and a couple drops of red food coloring. Last I poured in vinegar. Then the volcano erupted. Out came some pink fizz that was supposed to be like the hot lava. It was interesting and fun.

Valentines Day Celebration

On Valentines Day Mom and I spent the day making cards.

The next day went to the D- family's house for a celebration. First we all exchanged Valentine cards. Then Sister Shirley did a lesson on keeping a healthy heart. She also talked about keeping your spiritual heart clean.

Then we all prepared a healthy lunch. Felecia and Chelsea made chicken nuggets.

Me, Sierra, Eva, Grace, Katey, and Alexis all helped cut up vegetables and fruit.

I peeled oranges and cut up apples.

Grace did celery.

Katey did melons.

Eva cut radishes.

Sierra watched.

Shirley showed us how we could put fruit in water for a heart healthy drink.

After lunch we played for awhile and then helped clean up the kitchen. It was a good healthy heart day.

Shooting Rockets

Today Stephanie came over and we shot rockets.
We used an air compressor.

Her husband made this rocket launch pad.

We made paper rockets.

Even the dogs came out to watch.

Water bottle rocket

Oven mitt rocket

Work glove rocket

I learned that the air can be dangerous.
We held one paper rocket on and it blew a hole in the rocket.
It was really fun and interesting.
