My 15th Birthday Party

Yesterday we celebrated my 15th birthday. We had over the G- family, the W- family, the D- family, Aunt Sherry, Amber, and Sierra. Anthony called and told me happy birthday.

For dinner we had taco salad. It was very yummy. For dessert we had cake and ice cream. The cake was chocolate with pink frosting and sprinkles. The kinds of ice cream we had were strawberry cheesecake and chocolate malt.

We also played games. We played telephone, statute, and a dress-up game where everyone was on two teams racing against each other to get dressed in some random clothes and get their picture taken. The team that finished first won. Brother Jason was cheering me on.

For my birthday I got a Starbucks card from Karl, a candle arrangement and a card from Aunt Sherry, a card, lollipops, and money from the W- family, a notepad, party hats, a bag that sang happy birthday to me and had golden coins in it from the G- family, pictures and markers from Sierra.

The D- family gave me pencils and and a little plaque that said God on top in blue capital letters. Then it says, "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord" Joshua 24:15. Then in red capital letters it says, "Love one another for love is of God." 1 John 4:7 Then it says "Friends" in blue capital letters and underneath that it says, "A friend loveth at all times. Proverbs 17 : 17.
I'd like to hang it in my room above my dresser.

That night I led the devotions. I brought it on loving one another.

Apple Hill and Baking Cookies

I have been doing a lot of things in school lately. Monday me and my family went to Apple Hill with Joyce, Sierra, The G- family, the W- family Kolten, Katey, Amanda, and Rebekah. On the way up we stopped by Starbucks and got coffee. I got a hot chocolate instead. At Larsen's Park we ate lunch and took pictures. For lunch we ate sandwiches. We also saw the fountain. Me and the girls (Eva and Grace) had fun playing with Micah.

We also went over to a petting zoo that had Farm animals such as pigs, cows, goats, and bunnies.

The other day I made chocolate chip cookies, while mom was watching over everything.

This is me putting cookie dough on the tray.

Yum! These cookies are really good!

A Day At The Zoo

Today me, Felecia, and my mom went to the zoo with the G- family (except Brother Andy) , Joyce, and Sierra. I haven't been to the zoo in years.

(Grace, Me, Sierra)

We saw lions, tigers, flamingos, parrots, swans, ducks, lots of monkeys including orangutans and chimpanzees, leopards, hyenas, lemurs, giraffes, kangaroos and ostriches.

(Hyena)

(Leopard)

(One of the lions)

In the reptile house, we saw snakes, frogs, toads, lizards, salamanders and even a crocodile. I wish my dad could have seen them.

(a frog)

(snake - Boa Constrictor)

My favorite animals were the lions and the tigers. We even saw a baby tiger. It was cute. It was really neat to see such harmful animals. LOL!

(L to R: Me, Eva, Connor, Grace, Sister Glenda, Sierra, Felecia, Chelsea)

When we were done at the zoo, we had a picnic in the park across the street from the zoo. My mom, sister, and I ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, pretzels, baby carrots, plums, and chocolate cake. My best friend Eva and I took a walk around the park. It was an awesome day!

My First Day Of School

This morning I worked in the garden with mom. We dug holes and filled them with water and then put in the plants and put more dirt around them. Then we watered them again.

We put mulch around them. Mulch helps to keep the moisture in and helps keep weeds from growing.

To take care of them and help them bloom we will need to water them every day and pull out any weeds that have grown around them.

Today is the first day of school. I am in 9th grade. I am excited to be in high school. My subjects are math, English 1, Earth Science, PE, and Home Ec. I am hoping to take voice lessons too.

I am glad to be back in school. As a matter of fact, I have been ready to start school. And I finally did. YAY!

A Blanket For Baby Ian

This is a baby blanket that I crocheted for Ian. Mom added a ribbon to the edge that says, "It's a boy." And we put it in a bag that said, "Sweet Baby Boy."

Making A Fruit Salad

Saturday morning I made a fruit salad to go with our breakfast. It was the first time I've made a fruit salad and I made it all by myself. I washed all the fruit, then I sliced the banana, apple, and orange. I started with one fruit at a time. I also put in some grapes. Then, I took a spoon and mixed up all the fruit. I was very thrilled. It was good.
